Researchers studying the data on over 9,000 children found that despite other factors such as maternal depression, parental education levels, social class, and smoking habits, children who were breastfed respond more favorably to stress and have more reduced stress levels overall than their non breastfed counterparts.

Researchers are unclear whether the reduced stress levels are a result of breastmilk, maternal bond or other factors common to parents that are inclined to breastfeed.

Whatever the case, we all know that breastfeeding is substantially superior to formula feeding for many reasons and here is more proof.
