Almost any crib mattress available today is loaded with chemicals and toxins (particularly fire retardants) that are linked to SIDS, with the risk increasing with each child that uses the mattress. The solution is either to purchase an organic crib mattress or simply utilize a family bed and skip the crib altogether. Your baby will thank you.
